We are pleased to introduce our intern, Dr. Sidney Ryan to The Animal Eye Center of NJ Team.
Dr. Ryan is originally from Tucson, Arizona, and attended University of Washington in Seattle for her undergraduate studies. She then moved to Pennsylvania, where she completed veterinary school in 2023. Following graduation, she moved to Boston where she completed a rotating internship at the Angell Animal Medical Center.
Outside or work, Dr. Ryan enjoys hiking and camping. Her favorite hobbies include reading and arts and crafts, but when dragged out of the house you can find her with friends at local breweries. She currently does not have any pets but is looking to adopt a dog.
Dr. Ryan’s favorite thing about the specialty is how ophthalmologic care can improve the overall quality of life of pets by helping maintain vision and focusing on alleviating pain. In addition, she really values how special the eye is and how much you can tell about the systemic well-being of an animal from its eyes.
